“Snowballs” in April – seems early for them but what a lovely way to start the spring. They almost look like you could pick them off and throw them at your best friend.

Yes, Karen. If your cherry laurels are too big, I would cut them back hard in late Feb., keep them watered and mulched. Good luck.

By now you probably have your question answered about poppy seeds. In Zone 7 the best time to sow the seeds is in fall but I would also try very early in the spring. Late Feb would be worth a try. They need light to germinate so don’t cover them up, just a light dusting of soil. Good luck.
